La Sposa Policy

PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT COMPLETELY BEFORE SIGNING IT. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING THE ENTIRE FORM- IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE BRING THEM TO OUR ATTENTION BEFORE SIGNING.

Thank you so much for your purchase! The below is to provide you more information about your order! Please read the agreement below completely before signing. You are responsible for reviewing the entire form. If you have any questions, please bring them to our attention before signing!

THE SALE

Please be sure of your selection, we do NOT accept exchanges or cancellations for any reason. Deposits and payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. We will only allow cancellations within 24 hours without penalty. I understand that all merchandise listed on the corresponding invoice is in the size, color, and material I have requested. I understand that if this is a discounted gown, any cleaning, repairs, or alterations requested will be at my expense, unless otherwise stated on the original bill of sale. All items on sale are sold “AS IS” and may not be returned for refund or store credit.

DEPOSIT

  • Deposit for Wedding Gowns: MINIMUM of $300 or 50% if Special Order

  • Deposit for XV Gown: MINIMUM of $200 or 50% if Special Order

  • Deposit for Special Occasions Gowns - $100 or 50% if Special Order

  • Deposit for gowns less than $199 – Paid in full (no exceptions)

  • Deposit for Accessories - 50%

ORDER INFORMATION

If you are placing a special order keep in mind a dress can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months to arrive depending on the availability and/or manufacturer. Please keep that in mind as we can only give you an approximate shipping date at the time checked. Feel free to give us a call a week after placing the order to get a better estimate on date of arrival. Understand that we cannot be responsible for actions which occur outside of our control such as manufactures delays or dye variance, etc..)

You will be advised via email automatically when the dress arrives. It is your responsibility provide us a correct and working email address or a way to reach you. PLEASE call in advance even if it’s just to see your dress as it needs to be pulled out of storage beforehand.

SIZING

The measurements taken for your special order are only to allow us to choose the dress size that will BEST fit you. The dress is NOT custom made.

PAYMENTS

After your deposit, you may be put on a monthly payment plan to help pay off your balance which can be anywhere from 1-6 months. Order MUST be paid off by the date of contract EVEN if the event date changes as the plan is based on months and not the date.

Please be ON TIME MONTHLY for your payments as it is YOUR responsibility. If your payment plan expires or if you get behind on your payment plan your order or dress will automatically get cancelled and all payments and deposits will be forfeited. Payments can be done in person, over the phone or on our customer portal on our website: www.lasposalaredo.com.

EVENT DATE + LAYAWAY

We offer a layaway service for your gown for 6 months or until your event date if it is before that. If you need to store your gown after your original event date (if it was cancelled or postponed) or for longer than 6 months, there will be a $50 monthly storage fee. Please keep us updated on your event date as all merchandise not picked up by the original event date becomes the property of the store and will be subject to immediate sale.

ALTERATION POLICY

Now that you've chosen your dress our goal is to make your gown look perfect on you! Below is some information on our alteration policy. Please make sure you read all information thoroughly and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

What is offered?

While alterations at La Sposa are optional, they are indeed offered at an additional cost and subject to sales tax. ALL alterations are at an extra cost.

Does my dress come with alterations?

No, but all dresses can be altered for an additional price. HOWEVER, there are SELECT bridal and XV gowns that come with a BASIC alterations package. Not all bridal or XV gowns have this package. Please refer to your account or your consultant to verify. Basic alterations are defined as having the dress sized to you (bust, waist, hips, and length) in the style of that dress. However, any modification, which is any change to the style of the dress or adding/removing will be an extra cost.

Discount Dresses - Remember to budget the cost of alterations when choosing your gown. For example, you may get an amazing deal on a clearance dress in a different size but the complex alterations could cost the amount you initially saved. Important to note, there are some dresses on discount that cannot be altered.

What is the cost?

Pricing varies greatly based on the complexity of the alterations so the seamstress will have to see you in your gown before we provide an accurate price quote which will be offered at the first fitting. If you want any additional alterations not mentioned in the first fitting we will provide a secondary price quote. It is recommended to ask for a full quote before the seamstress begins any pinning.

What is the first fitting like?

Once your dress is fully paid off we can start the alterations. During your first fitting your seamstress will work closely with you to discuss the changes, personalization and modifications you want on your dress.

Your dress will be pinned during your first alteration appointment. Please bear in mind that the seamstress will go off of that initial measurement so any changes in measurements (including gaining or losing of weight, change of shoes or heel size, or adding/removing special undergarments not worn in your first appointment) will affect the original work done on your dress which will result in an extra charge if needed to be altered again.

Please bring all undergarments and shoes that you plan on wearing to your event to ALL fittings.

How long do alterations take?

We strongly recommend to book a fitting for Bridal or XV one month and half in advance. For special occasions we recommend a month in advance.

For complex dresses and/or alterations you may need up to 3-4 fittings where you’ll come in periodically to check on the updates and changes that are being done to your gown.

All alterations, as per state law, are subject to sales tax. I understand the charges as they are listed and agree that any work stoppage request must be made, in writing, within 24 hours of the date of this contract. I assume total responsibility for holes that may occur from expanding a garment which was previously sewn. All pinning meets with my satisfaction and I understand that my garment will be sewn to those pins. I herby authorize the work to be done and understand that in order for the requested changes to be made, I may be required to submit to additional fittings and/or consultations. I further acknowledge that any weight changes on my part may result in additional charges and/or a delay in the completion of these alterations:
